Job Description
CR3 are currently representing a PLC developer who are seeking an Management Accountant to work in their regional office in Cambridgeshire.
The Management Accountant will provide financial support to the Head of Finance to ensure that strong financial controls and accurate reporting are maintained. The Management Accountant will be involved in all aspects of the day to day transactional processes as well as financial management, including regulatory, financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures.

Duties of the Management Accountant:
- Manage the monthly closing and reporting process, including quarterly and annual audits and compliance filings.
- Manage the comprehensive reporting package, including comparisons to budget/forecasts and prior periods in detail for internal purposes along with preparation of external reporting packs.
- Management of the monthly balance sheet reconciliation process
- Support business owners in decision making by providing timely and accurate financial information and financial insights
- Adhere to accounting policies and procedures, including a regular update and improvement process
- Participate in the design and creation of financial reports and other financial metric reporting
- Preparing and processing supplier payments and ensuring that a senior Finance Manager has signed all payments off
- Ensuring that all accounts payable activities comply with relevant financial policies and procedures
- Management of certain tax and other regulatory reporting including financial audits and yearend tax filings, as applicable, working with other members of the Finance team to coordinate efforts
- Hire, manage, develop, and retain accounting staff including both professional and clerical positions
- Provide clear direction, training, and delegation of tasks to foster the development of skills and competencies of others in the workgroup
- Maintain day to day accounts such as Cashflows, VAT returns, Payroll, Budget Review, admin of monthly invoices
Management Accountant requirements:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
- In depth knowledge of U.K statutory reporting
- Experience within the construction sector would be an advantage
- Strong skills in MS-Office
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively meet the expectations and requirements of internal departments and external clients
- Detail focused and hands on, with a strong work and team ethic
- Expert use of Sage and working knowledge of Eque 2 Construct would be an advantage
- Monthly running and control of Payroll
