Job Description
CR3 are currently representing a growing Main Contractor who are seeking an Quantity Surveyor to work in East London (HQ) on a Permanent basis.

Duties of the Quantity Surveyor:
- Commercial management of multiple projects at the same time
- Driving value and reducing cost
- Collate, analysis & challenge Cost/Value Reports and cost forecasts.
- Monitoring of outturn costs on the projects on a daily / weekly / monthly basis and costed forecast
- Identification, mitigation and management of risk & opportunities for the portfolio of work
- Preparation and submission of Contract interim valuations
- Assessment of Subcontract interim valuations
- Preparation and agreement of Subcontractor Final Accounts
- Procurement and Tendering Subcontractor Packages
- Presentation of projects cost progress at Project Review monthly meetings
- Developing strong relationships with the client and subcontractors
Quantity Surveyor requirements:
- Must have experience working as a lead QS on projects
- Must have experience working in the New Build and refurbishment sectors
- Must have a relevant QS degree or similar training and or experience
- Must be able to work in London and surrounding counties and sometimes nationwide – Any necessary expenses paid for nationwide works
- Must be able to manage and deliver multiple projects at the same time with an annual turnover of approx. 5m
- Must be a good communicator and have experience dealing with clients and subcontractors
- Must have good IT skills and be able to use word, excel and outlook (Emails)
- Must have a flexible, “can do” attitude and want to work as part of a team
- Must be familiar with Cash flows, Valuations and the CVR process and all basic QS functions
- Must be able to work independently and take on responsibility – “own” projects
- Desirable: Client Contact list for future works
- Desirable: Supplier/Subcontractor Contact list for future works
- Desirable: Previous experience building long lasting client relationships
